The FAWC working group that studied the turkey industry considered the scientific literature related to lighting for turkeys. The bibliography which follows lists some of the relevant literature and includes the information studied by the group.
Lighting for turkeys can be divided into four topics: light intensity, light colour, light source and photoperiod The issues related to the welfare of turkeys that were raised by scientists working in each subject are summarised in the following paragraphs.
